This tiny seed has slightly bitter taste with a flavor combination of onions, cumin and oregano.

Used in stir-fried vegetables, legumes, salads, fish, rice, pickling and also used in the dough of breads, cookies & salty snacks. It is common to fry or dry roast the seeds before using them or added to cooking oil, the seeds impart a distinctive flavor.
